Fair Lawn High School is proud to announce that 14 of its seniors of the Class of 2023 have been recognized for outstanding achievement in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. These 14 students earned accolades as Commended Scholars. They scored within the top 50,000 of all students who took the PSAT exam in 2022 nationwide. Principal Paul Gorski observed, “Having so many students achieve this milestone demonstrates their commitment to achievement and the leadership they show within the academic environment at Fair Lawn High School. Forrest School took part in National Walk/Bike to School day this morning. Over 80 students, staff, and parents walked from Fire House # 1 on George Street to Forrest School. It was a great start to the day!!!!!

Warren Point ended the Week of Respect with the annual Color Games! Each grade level wore a different color which represented the pillars of character. Students and staff had fun participating in activities and events that supported teamwork, respect, responsibility, caring, fairness, and trustworthiness. Thank you to Ms. Nolan for organizing the games and to the PTA volunteers for helping to run each event!

Lyncrest School kicked off their Week of Respect with a visit from Lokai Rose. Tina Lokai visited each classroom with her diverse Ambassador Animals: Margarita the tarantula, Bluey the skink, Jimmy the millipede, and Herbie the snake. She taught the students to open their minds and look beyond their fears to learn more about these amazing creatures. Thank you to the Lyncrest PTO for sponsoring this program!

Forrest School kicked off the Week of Respect with Manners Monday. Fourth graders learned about etiquette/table manners while dining at the "Forrest Bistro". Making eye contact and generating conversation are a few of the lessons learned while students enjoy a 5-course meal served to them by Mr. Placenti and 4th grade parent volunteers.

Warren Point kicked off the 2022 Week of Respect with an amazing assembly! Brian Chevalier, Musical Teaching Artist , led students in songs about respect, kindness, and friendship. He also taught them song lyrics in sign language and had groups of students leading their class in song. Students had a great time singing, dancing, and clapping along to the music! Thank you to the Warren Point PTA for sponsoring this amazing assembly!

Congratulations to FLHS Senior Assaf Izhar, who received a perfect score on his AP® Computer Science Principles Exam. Out of 137,000 students who took this test, Assaf was one of 196 students with a perfect score!
